Some ask why I have decided to become an Esthetician and really focus on Acne so here’s your answer…

I’ve always struggled with acne and have tried just about everything to get it under control—nothing seemed to work. Over time, my skin started to calm down on its own, but in 2020, my face flared up badly, and I finally sought medical help.

The doctor diagnosed me with perioral dermatitis, but they never asked about my family history, lifestyle, diet, or the products I was using—nothing. They simply looked at my skin and prescribed topical and oral antibiotics, assuring me it would help. Unsurprisingly, it didn’t. At the time, I wasn’t well-informed and didn’t research before following their advice, but I was desperate.
